Mohammad Abdel Latif graduated from the College of Medicine at Cairo University in 1977 and practiced medicine for five years. In 1982 he founded the Safeer Company, which became one of the biggest Arab publishing houses specializing in products for children. He currently serves as President of the Board of Directors for Safir International Publishing. He is also a member of the Writers and Publishing Committee of the Supreme Council for Culture in Egypt; a board member of the Educational Software Producers’ Association in Cairo; and a board member of Egypt’s Society for Culture and Dialogue in Cairo. He is the former Secretary General of the Egyptian Publishers Association and a member of the Executive Committee for the International Publishers Association. He has been President of the Arab Publishers Association since January 2007.
